As a new association, IAjapan has inherited its activities from the Internet Association of Japan (IAJ) and the Electronic Network Consortium (ENC), IAjapan is planning to conduct more extensive activities than before.

- Deployment of filtering software and development/operation of rating systems
- Various working group activities
- Training human resources
- Development and demonstration regarding Internet technologies
- Promoting the standardization of Internet technologies
- Coordinating with other standard bodies regarding Internet technologies
- Research on Internet trends
- Secretariat of Internet Hotline Expert Network
- Cooperation with international Internet organizations such as
W3C, IETF, ISOC, ICANN, APIA, APNG
